We have a bottle of whiskey that's around $2,000 a pour cost for that could be $500 for that. And if you incorrectly count 1oz of that, you have lost $500 or more or less.

A bit unsure about trying out WISK at first, thinking it might be too complicated. But after giving it a shot, we found it surprisingly simple and easy to use!
The process was pretty smooth and effortless, low barrier of entry. If you're not the most tech savvy person, it'll help you out and guide you through the whole process.
It does give me peace of mind that I can log into the interface online and just see what's happening with my money, with my drinks. Do I need to change vendors? Do I need to get a different alcohol? Do I need to price my drinks differently? So it definitely helps having that data there at all times.

The Problem
Chauncey Social faced significant challenges due to the inefficiencies of traditional inventory management methods. The manual process of tracking inventory, particularly for high-value items like $2,000 whiskey pours, lacked the precision needed to avoid costly errors.
Miscounts were a frequent risk, as even a single ounce incorrectly recorded could result in financial losses of $500 or more. This lack of accuracy not only affected profitability but also created uncertainty in stock management. Without a reliable system in place, it was difficult to monitor inventory trends or make informed decisions about pricing and vendor selection.
The process itself was time-consuming, requiring significant labor hours that could have been better spent on strategic or customer-facing tasks. The absence of real-time data meant that critical insights into inventory and costs were only available at month-end, causing delays in responding to issues and limiting proactive decision-making.
These inefficiencies highlighted the need for a modern, automated solution to simplify inventory tracking, improve accuracy, and reduce the operational stress on Joe and his team.
The Solution
WISK made inventory management at Chauncey Social so much easier and more efficient. From the start, it was incredibly user-friendly. Joe Sandoval, the general manager, could get everything up and running after just a quick 20-minute tutorial. Scanning bottles and entering counts was smooth and straightforward—no unnecessary steps or confusion.
One of the biggest game-changers was WISK’s precision. For a venue with high-value items like $2,000 whiskey pours, every ounce counts. Instead of relying on manual counts that could lead to costly mistakes, WISK introduced weighing, which ensured inventory was always accurate. This removed the stress of wondering if a miscalculation had led to lost revenue.
The platform also provided real-time insights into inventory data. Joe no longer had to wait until the end of the month to see how things were going. He could log in at any time and immediately understand what was happening. This helped him make better decisions, like adjusting drink prices, switching vendors, or managing stock levels more effectively.
WISK wasn’t just about saving time and improving accuracy—it gave Joe and his team peace of mind. They knew exactly where their inventory stood and could focus on creating great experiences for their guests, instead of worrying about the numbers. It turned a frustrating, time-consuming process into something quick and reliable.
How Chauncey Social Saves Big with WISK: Cutting Costs & Streamlining Operations
Joe Sandoval recalls how seamless it was to start using WISK, describing the process as surprisingly simple and straightforward. "When I first started using WISK, I realized that it was a lot more simple than I had anticipated. It was pretty much a quick download, a 20-minute tutorial, and then the first button to click is start first inventory."
He explains that there was no confusion or unnecessary setup involved. From the moment the app was ready, the steps felt intuitive. The very first task he completed was scanning a bottle. "That bottle was located immediately, and I just put how many I had and then I moved on." This efficiency stood out to him, as it eliminated the clunky back-and-forth often associated with traditional inventory methods.
The process felt smooth, almost effortless. There wasn’t a steep learning curve, even for someone who might not consider themselves tech-savvy. WISK’s design focused on guiding users step-by-step, making it easy for Joe to build confidence as he went.
This low barrier to entry was a key factor in its success at Chauncey Social. It allowed Joe to jump right into managing inventory without frustration or the need for extensive training. With everything laid out clearly and logically, even the initial setup became a task that took minutes rather than hours. As Joe puts it, the simplicity of WISK was a refreshing change that made a significant impact on their operations from the very beginning.
If you're not the most tech savvy person, it'll help you out and guide you through the whole process.
“If you're not the most tech-savvy person, it'll help you out and guide you through the whole process.” For Chauncey Social, this was a game-changer. With so much high-end liquor on hand, like a $2,000 bottle of whiskey, Joe knows that even the smallest misstep can lead to major losses. A single ounce miscounted could mean losing up to $500, and that’s just one bottle.
WISK’s ability to weigh items solved this problem. Joe no longer had to worry about human error skewing the numbers and affecting his bottom line. "With weighing the items, you don't have to worry about that anymore," he says. This peace of mind goes beyond just keeping accurate stock—it extends to understanding the bigger picture. With WISK’s real-time data, Joe can easily check in on his inventory, adjust pricing, or even decide if it's time to switch vendors.
Being able to log in and see everything live, without waiting for month-end reports, lets Joe take control of his business. Whether it’s tweaking drink prices, managing stock more efficiently, or making decisions about suppliers, the data is there when he needs it, bringing confidence to every decision. It’s all about having the right tools to stay on top of everything—without the stress.
WISK is good for anybody that has any sort of inventory, which would include bar and restaurant owners.
In conclusion, WISK transformed Chauncey Social's operations, significantly improving inventory accuracy, saving time, and enabling real-time decision-making.
The 90% reduction in inventory errors and the 50% decrease in time spent on inventory management allowed the team to focus on more valuable tasks, like customer service.
Access to live data empowered them to make faster, smarter decisions, resulting in better pricing, stock management, and vendor choices.
Ultimately, WISK helped Chauncey Social enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and provide a smoother, more responsive experience for both the team and their customers.

Maurice, Assistant Manager @ Flyjin
“Before using WISK, we had hesitations due to past unsuccessful experiences with other systems. We often reverted to pen and paper, which required transferring data to Excel, making the process very time-consuming. We started scanning everything, doing the inventory, it went super well, so I was very pleasantly surprised.”
Massimo, General Manager @ Lucille’s
“It took a lot less time to get everyone on board. They were all open for it because it's an app. They could use their phone. You know, at the touch of our phones, we have everything available. We just scan the item, we go through it all in a sequence, so it's very well organized, everything's well counted, and I think it just really facilitates the time efficiency of everything.”
Loyd, Owner @ L’infâme Tittle Tattle and La Gargamelle in Montreal
Before WISK, honestly, inventory was kind of a drag. We had this huge Excel sheet, we have over a hundred products in here, so it's kind of hard to just do inventories. It used to take us about one or two hours every week. Twice a week actually, it was not very accurate with our Excel sheet, but now it takes us like 20 minutes and we're done. And I was kind of surprised it was so user-friendly.
